Frequently asked questions
- Are my PDFs uploaded to a server?
- No. The merge runs in your browser using JavaScript. Your files are read from disk into your browser’s memory and never sent anywhere. You can confirm this by disconnecting from the internet after the page loads — the tool still works.
- Is there a limit on file size or number of files?
- There is no limit imposed by the tool. The practical ceiling is your device’s available memory, since the whole document is assembled in RAM.
- Do I need an account?
- No. There is no sign-up, no email field, and no billing anywhere on this site.
- Does merging reduce quality?
- No. Pages are copied between documents without re-encoding, so text, images and vectors are preserved exactly as they were.
